RE: BPLA Reopening – Fall 2020

Dear Parents:

We are constantly planning for reopening.  Please make a note of these important updates which will

be coming to you by way of email and Facebook each Thursday:

  1. School will open face-to-face for all grades (K-7) on Monday, August 24, 2020. We are making every effort to keep our schedule close to surrounding districts for other siblings.

  2. All students must have a 2020-2021 application/registration on file

  3. We will meet five (5) days per week. Same schedule as last year ( 7:30-2:30)

  4. Our classrooms have been designed and are large enough to accommodate 6-8 ft. social distancing spacing ( per measurement by our facility/leasing company).

  5. We will have a maximum of 15 students per class.

  6. Returning students were given first priority (application/registration letters were sent out January, March and June), however, we are now on a first come first serve basis.

  7. We will offer bus transportation to stops of 2 or more students as last year.  Transportation pick-ups will be by first requests.

  8. School disinfecting and safety measures are in place ( daily constant sanitizing, temperature checks of all entrants-especially before admittance to classrooms, covering of water fountains and a daily five pack that each child will have on their desks for personal use).

  9. We will emphasize daily sanitation, temperature checks and social distancing within our building.

  10. We will limit large group assemblies etc.

  11. Please note all flyers for enhanced safety measures on our website and Facebook pages.  They will also be distributed in your beginning of the year packet with your school agreement package.

  1. Your child will be instructed in all subject areas as last year.

  2. We will be prepared for Distance Learning if COVID-19 conditions requires changes/adjustments with face-to-face. We  will focus on instruction to cover the four core subjects. We will also have STEM lab and the Arts weekly.

Again, see Enhanced Safety Measures (attached) and look for summer hours on our website. Call or stop by if we can be of assistance.  Please note, safety of your child will come first.
